Hello! I'm Alex from Shenzhen Sunny Wordewide Logistics, which is a professional international logistics freight forwarder company. I want to share a story about an international sea shipping services. It is my real experience.

lately, one of my regular customer in Saudi who has been working together with me for nearly two years told me that there were goods to be shipped as usual, but there were about 15 suppliers for this shipment. We need to pay the supplier for payment on behalf of the buyer. At that time, the customer gave me a call and asked if I could do it.
I promised that we can do it in order to help the customer ship the all the goods smoothly. However, when it close to pick up the goods, the customer told me that there were nearly 50 suppliers, which was a big challenge for me! At that time, I contacted several suppliers and realized that these suppliers of the customer are some stalls in Guangzhou. In this case, we need to face a series of problems like export customs clearance documents, import customs clearance documents, goods picking etc.
Multi-vendor goods pick-up and warehouse loading:
When I contacted all the suppliers of the customer, and confirmed the supplier's volume, delivery address and goods ready time, I found that the customer's goods were mainly concentrated in several locations in Guangzhou. 1- Wanling Square; 2 Nan'an Road; 3- Huangsha Avenue.
In order to help the customer save the cost of picking up goods, I decided to concentrate the goods in our Huangpu warehouse in Guangzhou for loading up container. I informed the customer of this information and confirmed we would load up container in Guangzhou Huangpu warehouse.
The pick-up job is the most difficult part to handle, since there were too many suppliers. I divided the suppliers into two types:

2. For the suppliers who have less goods with low goods value, and were not willing to deliver to the warehouse, it requires us to coordinate to pick up the goods.
Since I have previously confirmed that the customer's suppliers were concentrated in several locations in Guangzhou, I had planned to use the external driver to pick goods from several suppliers at one time. This method is idealistic, I tried it once, but there were some problems:
1- The driver felt trouble and was not willing to collect several items at a time.
2- There were trouble to contact with suppliers.
3- The objective reason is that traffic congestion in Guangzhou is restricted.
4- Delayed unloading in warehouse is likely to incur additional costs, such as waiting charges and handling charges.
So I tried to solve the problem with my supervisor right away, and quickly proposed a solution:
1. Confirm the goods ready time with the suppliers,;
2. Use the company's own trailer, me and the salesman Hank personally would go to Guangzhou to pick up the goods according to the previous confirmation of several partitions.
This program also allowed us to collect all of our customers' goods faster and accurately and deliver them to the warehouse in a timely manner.
However, some suppliers can not even use the computer, which is really a big problem, so I asked them to write by hand, and finally I helped them enter the computer.
In the end, the total number of items of the customer's goods is calculated to be more than fifty. With the help of my operating colleagues, we divided the customer's goods into 11 categories to help customers make export customs declaration documents and import customs clearance documents.
Finally, I want to tell my customers:
1.Highly attention on the shipment more than the owner, site supervising and real-time tracking feedback.
2.Emergency solutions must be offered with 30minutes if any. You may not find other companies like us in Shenzhen.
3.We offer at least 3 logistics solutions, save cost at least 5% for you.
4.With its own trailer team, 80% driver has more than 10 years driving experience, and it is hard to find another company can be compared in Shenzhen.
