On January 15, Wanhai Shipping updated the latest news about the "Wanhai 503" (Wangchun Lun) on its official website, stating that all emergency response and aftermath processing work has been completed.
After the "Wan Hai 503" successfully unloaded all containers at the Jebel Ali Port of Refuge on December 26, 2025, it was safely towed to the designated berth of the Dubai Drydocks World shipyard on the evening of January 12, and was successfully delivered to APT Global in accordance with the BIMCO ship recycling contract.

Wan Hai said that APT Global is a ship recycling company that operates in strict compliance with the highest international standards, and will subsequently dismantle the ship in strict accordance with the requirements of the Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships.
Wan Hai will also continue to communicate with relevant authorities and stakeholders as needed, and would like to express its sincere gratitude to all relevant authorities, partners and professional teams that have provided valuable support and cooperation throughout the entire accident handling and aftermath process.
