Today (August 14), Hapag-Lloyd announced the first half of 2020 results.
Hapag-Lloyd’s profit before interest and taxes (EBIT) for the first half of 2020 was US$563 million (EUR 511 million), exceeding the US$440 million (EUR 389 million) in the same period last year.
Group profit increased to 314 million US dollars (285 million euros). At the same time, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased to 1.29 billion US dollars (1.17 billion euros).
