According to customs statistics, in the first half of this year, my country's import and export of goods was 21.79 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.9% year-on-year.Among them, exports were 13 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.2%; imports were 8.79 trillion yuan, a decrease of 2.7%.As June entered, imports, exports, and imports all achieved positive growth year-on-year, and the growth rate was rebounding.

From the perspective of foreign trade entities, in the first half of the year, private enterprises imported and exported 12.48 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.3% year-on-year, accounting for 57.3% of my country's foreign trade, an increase of 2.3 percentage points from the same period last year.my country's foreign-invested enterprises imported and exported RMB 6.32 trillion, an increase of 2.4% year-on-year, and has maintained growth for five consecutive quarters.my country has achieved 75,000 foreign-invested enterprises with import and export performance, setting a new high since 2021.

From the perspective of trading partners, in the first half of the year, my country's imports and exports to the EU were 2.82 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.5% year-on-year, with an average daily import and export of more than 15 billion yuan, equivalent to the trade value of the year when diplomatic relations was established.my country's imports and exports to other BRICS member countries and partner countries were 6.11 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.9% year-on-year, accounting for 28.1% of my country's total import and export value.my country's imports and exports to countries with jointly building the "Belt and Road" were 11.29 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.7% year-on-year, accounting for 51.8% of the overall foreign trade.

A relevant person in charge of the General Administration of Customs also introduced the Sino-US trade situation in the first half of this year.

In the first half of 2025, my country's total import and export value to the United States was 2.08 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 9.3%.Among them, exports were 1.55 trillion yuan, down 9.9%, and imports were 530.35 billion yuan, down 7.7%.Affected by the so-called "reciprocal tariffs" in the United States, Sino-US trade has changed from year-on-year growth in the first quarter to year-on-year decline in the second quarter, with a decline of 20.8%.Recently, the economic and trade talks in Geneva and London have made positive progress, and Sino-US trade has rebounded.The import and export value in June rebounded from less than 300 billion yuan in May to more than 350 billion yuan, and the year-on-year decline also narrowed significantly.

It is understood that the teams of China and the United States are currently stepping up the implementation of relevant achievements of the London Framework.China is willing to emphasize again that the Geneva consensus and the London framework are hard-won, and blackmail coercion has no way out, and dialogue and cooperation are the right way.We hope that the US side will continue to move with China, make cooperation the main theme of China-US economic and trade, promote the global trade system to return to the track of fairness and openness, and make due contributions to the recovery and growth of the global economy.
