According to the latest news from foreign media, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) recently announced that it will force major U.S. online e-commerce platforms to remove millions of Chinese electronic products from their shelves on the grounds of so-called "national security risks." This action is called "Operation Clean Cart".

According to the FCC, these so-called "prohibited" products either belong to the U.S. prohibited equipment list or have not been authorized by the agency, involving home security cameras, smart watches and other products produced by Huawei, Hikvision, ZTE, Dahua Technology and other companies.

After the FCC issued a new national security notice, mainstream e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Walmart and eBay responded quickly and removed millions of Chinese products that were considered "security risks" from their shelves. These products are mainly concentrated in the fields of home security cameras, smart watches and related accessories.

Earlier, the FCC announced that it planned to further tighten restrictions on telecommunications equipment manufactured by Chinese companies deemed "national security risks" this month. This is the latest in a series of US actions against China.

In addition, the FCC plans to vote on October 28 to further strengthen restrictions and may prohibit the authorization of equipment containing parts from blacklisted companies.

In fact, this removal from the shelves is another move by the US government to suppress Chinese products. In recent years, multiple U.S. agencies have taken a series of actions against Chinese technology companies, involving telecommunications, semiconductors, automobiles and other fields.

China has repeatedly pointed out that the United States overextends the concept of national security, abuses export controls to maliciously suppress, seriously undermines market rules and international economic and trade order, seriously affects the stability of the global production and supply chain, and seriously damages the interests of China, the United States and the industrial and commercial communities of other countries.China firmly opposes this and will take firm measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.

As for the U.S. action against Chinese electronic products, it is still unclear how long it will last and how wide it will be, and it may affect more related and similar Chinese products in the future.

We would like to remind cargo owners and freight forwarders who have recently been involved in exporting U.S.-related products to pay attention to the latest developments in U.S. policies to avoid unnecessary losses.Forward to everyone~
