ONE is fully cooperating with all relevant parties, and the latest progress will be released on the official website as soon as possible.
Event review
November 21: The container "ONE HENRY Hudson" suddenly caught fire in the Port of Los Angeles, California.Preliminary reports indicate that about 100 to 117 of the approximately 8,000 containers carried on the ship were burned or severely damaged.
The cargo on board is as diverse as auto parts, machinery, beef and fruit, footwear, personal protective equipment and a variety of other consumer goods.November 25: ONE issued a notice stating that some containers on the ship may be affected. The investigation and assessment of the condition of the ship and cargo are still ongoing, without specifying the specific number.November 28: ONE issued a notice stating that after the ship suffered a fire accident in the Port of Los Angeles, the shipowner officially declared the ship to be in general average.
The shipowner has appointed Richards Hogg Lindley as the average adjuster, who will be responsible for overall coordinating the collection of general average guarantees and other relevant documents, and guiding the client through the process of providing the necessary general average guarantees and documents.
All cargo owners (or their insurance companies) are requested to contact the designated average adjuster directly and submit guarantees and other relevant documents in a timely manner. It is important to note that the cargo will not be released until the necessary arrangements have been made between the customer and the average adjuster.December 3: ONE issued a notice stating that the container ship had moved to berth 212 of the Yusen Terminal (YTI) in the Port of Los Angeles. The fire was completely extinguished before the ship berthed, and the company will continue to monitor the development of the situation to ensure that no new problems arise.
Since a large amount of fire-fighting water was poured into some cargo holds during fire-fighting operations, the ship needs to complete drainage before further inspection can be carried out.The shipowner and the designated maritime rescue company are currently making necessary preparations for the drainage operation, which is expected to take at least a week to start.December 18: ONE issued a notice stating that a barge had arrived at the Los Angeles Cruise Terminal (YTI) and had begun dewatering the affected cargo hold.
During this period, cargo unloading operations cannot be carried out.An updated advisory will be issued once dewatering operations are completed.
The ship is still under the strict supervision of the US Coast Guard (USCG), so the resumption of cargo operations requires permission from the US Coast Guard (USCG).
