According to WorldACD, the freight volume in November 2020 dropped by 12.6% year-on-year, but the freight rate has increased the fastest since the "crazy April and May". In November, freight rates rose by 79% year-on-year, while in October they rose by 11.2%.


However, freight volume fell by 2% from last month, and capacity increased by 1% from October. Despite the decline, abdominal capacity increased by 3%. The Asia-Pacific region was the only region that experienced growth between October and November, with an increase of 3.2%.



Among them, cargo of more than 5,000 kg increased year-on-year, while cargo of smaller weight classes decreased by 16% to 29%, which may reflect the number of PPE flying this year.



And WorldACD added: "The most severe statistics in November is: the remains of air transported increased by 8% over the same period last year."



The data company also added some records from November: the highest average price was from Hong Kong to the Midwestern United States, at $6.88 per kilogram; the highest year-on-year increase was from the United Kingdom to the northeastern United States, an increase of 289%;



The absolute annual change from eastern China to the midwestern United States was the highest, with an increase of $3.43; the largest monthly change was from South Korea to Germany, with an increase of 58%.

Although the volume of transportation has declined, revenue has increased year by year-"Can things get weirder?" WorldACD asked.



"Take Chicago as an example: Outbound business dropped 9% year-on-year (January to November), but it brought airline revenue growth by 10%. At the same time, revenue from flights to Chicago increased by 92% year-on-year. Unbelievable."



According to a survey by Clive Data Services, the highest cargo loading rate occurred in the first half of December. Compared with the first half of November, its transaction volume also increased by 2%, and the price was 2 cents higher than the average price in November.
