Evergreen Shipping recently announced that it will continue to expand its Latin American routes and will add a direct Latin American route WSA6 at the end of January.

The new route takes into account major ports in Mexico, Central America and western South America, and the direct service voyage is greatly shortened.
WSA6 route port route map
In terms of port coverage, the WSA6 route has the following characteristics:
First, it has direct access to three ports in Mexico, including Ensenada, Manzanillo, and Lázaro Cardenas.
In recent years, the bilateral trade volume between China and Mexico has exceeded 100 billion US dollars. China is Mexico's second largest trading partner, and Mexico is China's second largest trading partner in Latin America. The two sides have close trade in mechanical and electrical products, vehicles and parts, and minerals.
Ensenada is adjacent to the U.S.-Mexico border and is a border trade gateway with high customs clearance efficiency and fast delivery time; Manzanillo, as the gateway to the Pacific, is Mexico's largest container port, with a developed railway and road network that can connect to major inland cities and a vast hinterland; Lázaro Cardenas is a deep-water port in Mexico, suitable for giant ships to call.
Second, go directly to the Guatemala Port of Cuatezal.
China and Guatemala have close economic and trade relations. China mainly exports petrochemicals, textiles, machinery and equipment, metal products, and imports fruits, sugar, etc.
Cuatezal is Guatemala's largest port on the Pacific coast, handling approximately 60% of the country's imported cargo.
Third, direct access to three ports in western South America, including Buenaventura, Callao and San Antonio.
China is Colombia's second largest trading partner and its largest source of imports, and the Port of Buenaventura is Colombia's largest and busiest port.
China is Peru's largest trading partner.Callao is Peru's busiest traditional hub port, close to the capital Lima, handling about 70% of the country's cargo volume.
China is Chile's largest trading partner, and San Antonio is Chile's largest port, handling about half of the country's container freight volume.

In addition, the advantages of the WSA6 route include:
Qingdao is the last domestic port, and the voyage to foreign ports is short and fast;
High port coverage can further improve the quality of import and export services in Mexico and even Central American markets;
It is one of the few routes that can directly reach the Port of Cuatezal in Guatemala, further ensuring the arrival time of goods and providing efficient transportation services;
Through direct access to Callao, we can provide faster services to our return import customers.
