According to Sunny Worldwide Logistics colleagues, e-commerce giant Amazon recently said that it is expanding its "packageless transport" (PFS) program to nine cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Nagpur.

PFS is a priority for Amazon to launch in India. According to the PFS plan, the order will be shipped in the same original packaging, without any secondary or additional packaging. The program will also be launched in Bangalore, Grugram, Noida, Chennai and Hyderabad. .

Through this initiative, Amazon aims to reduce the waste generated by the secondary packaging of customer orders. Under the “zero delivery” vision, Amazon's goal is to reduce its zero carbon emissions of all its transportation products to 50% by 2030. The plan applies to certain orders based on predefined parameters, such as the customer's location, the distance the order must move, and the product category ordered. Packaging-free products include auto parts, technology accessories, home improvement products, shoes and luggage.

However, according to Amazon's spokesperson, liquids, fragile items or products that require privacy protection will never be shipped free of charge.
