Previously, Lloyd's List reported that Iran plans to open a "safe maritime channel" in the Strait of Hormuz and plans to charge nearly 2 million US dollars in tolls from passing merchant ships.
Heavy!Britain, France, Germany, Japan and other countries issued a joint statement: taking measures to ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz, Iran plans to impose tolls on the Strait of Hormuz
Last Sunday, an Iranian lawmaker revealed that Iran has begun charging this fee to some ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, and relevant measures have been implemented at the practical level.
He bluntly stated that "war has a cost", so it is "natural" to impose tolls on passing ships, and it also reflects Iran's "sovereign authority" over the waterway.
According to the Wall Street Journal, 22 countries have jointly issued a statement that they will jointly participate in ensuring the safety of free navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, the vast majority of which are NATO members.
The 22 countries include: United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Japan, Canada, South Korea, New Zealand, Denmark, Latvia, Slovenia, Estonia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Romania, Bahrain, Lithuania and Australia.
At present, all parties have completed preliminary coordination around the three key issues of the core requirements, deployment location, and execution time of the escort operation in the Strait of Hormuz, and military planners from various countries are simultaneously carrying out collaborative preparations.

According to a report by China News Network citing the Israeli Ynet news website on the 23rd local time, an Israeli official revealed that the United States has set April 9 as the target date for ending the war with Iran.
The official said talks between Iran and the United States are expected to take place in Pakistan later this week.
❝ According to reports, U.S. President Trump said that the United States has held two days of talks with Iran on a plan to end the war and revoked the previous 48-hour ultimatum to attack power plants.
But Iran has denied any negotiations.

Trump posted a message on social media on the 21st, demanding that Iran open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours, otherwise it will launch an attack on Iran's "various power stations" and destroy them.
And 48 hours later, Trump also said that the United States and Iran had had "very good and productive" dialogue in the past two days, and the United States would "postpone the attack on Iran's power stations for five days."
Iran firmly denied this and said Trump's relevant remarks may be "psychological warfare."

In addition, according to the latest report from CBS, US intelligence agencies have detected at least a dozen advanced mines of two types in the waterway.
Previously, Trump had said that "there are no relevant reports" showing that Iran mined mines in the Strait, but at the same time insisted that if Iran did lay mines without the knowledge of the US military, they would all be removed.
In response to the escalating threats from the White House, Iran has threatened to use unspecified means to "completely block" the strait.
Currently, Iran's Foreign Ministry says that "non-hostile vessels" can use the waterway as long as they join the toll-passage system controlled by Iran.

The actual situation is that shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has been significantly reduced, and only a small number of ships choose to sail in the waterway between Iran’s Qeshm Island and Larak Island, which is completely within Iran’s territorial waters.
